Our Values

DIGNITY

We affirm and respect the inherent worth of every individual. We listen deeply, value lived experience, and protect the safety, voice, and agency of those involved in our work.

COMMUNITY

We stay rooted in and accountable to our community, holding space for difference, dialogue, and mutual care. We reflect, celebrate, and learn with those we serve and all who shape our work.

ATTENTION

We bring care, focus, and consistency to everything we do. By attending to details, honouring context, and responding thoughtfully, we cultivate a daily practice of excellence.

CURIOSITY

Embracing a discovery mindset, we explore new ideas with creativity, humility, and the courage to try new things. In the face of failure, we remain open, venturesome, and committed to growth.

KNOWLEDGE

We centre evidence as a tool for understanding, reflection and adaptation. Our approach prioritises collaboration, reflexivity, and non-hierarchical ways of knowing.

Our Name, Our Logo

Recognised for its distinctive shape and bold geometric patterns, the Agaseke — or Peace Basket — is a Rwandan symbol of unity and community, principles that guide everything we do.

Our logo pays tribute to Rwanda’s rich cultural heritage and reflects how Sasa Sport is woven together by the strength of our people and the spirit of our values.

The name Sasa Sport comes from the Kiswahili word sasa, meaning now. It’s a call to action — a reminder that it’s never too soon for young people to begin shaping their futures.

Although we are based in Rwanda, our name reaches beyond borders. Kiswahili is spoken across East Africa and beyond, connecting us through a shared language.
